Author Landra Jennings visits Sewanee Elementary!

The 3rd - 5th grade classes enjoyed meeting author Landra Jennings at Sewanee Elementary School. Mrs. Jennings shared her strategies for writing a story, including how to develop a character who wants something and overcomes obstacles in the process. The students interacted with the author by asking questions and participating in her discussion. Some students even received Mrs. Jennings's autograph inside one of her books! A portion of book fair proceeds was used to bring Mrs. Jennings to Sewanee Elementary School. Thank you for your support of literacy at Sewanee Elementary!
